Ever wanted to know what it’s like to be on set of one of America’s most popular TV Shows? Last week, we took you backstage and behind the scenes of Dancing With the Stars.
We were lucky enough to catch Tony and Val for an interview about our upcoming show in July featuring Val, Maks, Tony, and special celebrity guests. But, we’ll talk about about that later…
Technically we’re not allowed to have any recording devices on set, and [almost] everyone has to give up their cell phones before entering. Usually, in order to see the show, you have to come several hours early, wait in the Los Angeles sun for a couple hours, and if, and only if, they have enough seats then you may be able to see the show. But not with your cell phone or any video recording device in your possession. It’s a privilege to be behind the scenes of Dancing with the Stars!
We took a big risk bringing you this footage, especially since we were sitting in a prime spot right behind the judges table. However, to give the #DWMFAM the inside scoop, it was worth the risk! We want you to provide you with as much exclusive content as possible.
Thanks to our buddies Maks, Val, and Tony, we were able to get in through the VIP entrance and even hang out with the stars in their trailers. We then snuck into CBS Television City, through the cast entrance, with our handy video recording device, and only one word can describe the feeling as you’re walking onto the main set: goosebumps.
CBS Television City hosts many other popular shows such as American Idol, The X Factor, Real Time with Bill Maher, and others.
The footage obviously isn’t that great given the circumstances, but it can give a small glimpse as to what it’s like to be live on set for such a popular TV show. One day we hope to do a real-life documentary of the preparation leading up to the show, but until then, this is all we got. Hope you enjoy it!
