BALLROOM DANCING + SOCCER/FOOTBALL + WORLD CUP FEVER + #DWMFAM = #FOOTBALLROOM
Soccer. Football. The beautiful game.
Regardless of what you call it, chances are every four years you’re infected with the joyous contagion that is World Cup Fever. Here at Dance With Me, we caught the World Cup bug, and the only prescription is a healthy dose of soccer/football and dancing!
2014 Fifa World Cup official slogan:
“ALL IN ONE RHYTHM!”
The best players and teams in the world need to have rhythm, balance, timing, coordination, and chemistry in order to perform to their best abilities. Ballroom dancing is exactly the same. At our dance studios we like to think soccer is just like dancing, but with a ball. Take a look at Brazil, historically known for having some of the best players and teams in history of the World Cup. Brazilians are also known very much for their dancing. Their biggest holiday is a dance festival!
Every four years, the beautiful game unites the world and creates one big party. With every goal scored, a victory celebration follows, and ultimately a victory dance is enjoyed by the winning team and its fans. Here at Dance With Me, dance brings all of our different nationalities and backgrounds together the way soccer and the World Cup does every four years. The only difference is we do this every day.
In light of this, we wanted to combine ballroom dancing, our international team (18 different nationalities work at Dance With Me!), and of course the beautiful game of soccer/football, to create what we call… #FOOTBALLROOM!
Here are the nationalities that work at dance with me.
USA | Belgium | Lithuania |
Latvia | Belarus | Ukraine |
Russia | Brazil | Portugal |
Sweden | Hong Kong | Japan |
Peru | Mexico | Spain |
Serbia | Macedonia | Armenia |
