Dance Development Coordinator / Dance Instructor

Manu Goncalves

Manu is originally from Senegal (West Africa) where he grew up with his family who are originally from Cape Verde. Manu has been dancing and performing his entire life. He started dancing early on learning to dance in various diverse styles! FUNANA - Funana is a Dance and music genre, the funaná is characterized by having a variable tempo, from vivace to andante, and a 2-beat rhythm. The funaná is intimately associated to the accordion, more precisely to the diatonic accordion, commonly known as gaita in Cape Verde. ZOUK DANCE -Zouk is a musical and dance style originating from the Caribbean islands of Guadeloupe and Martinique. The word zouk has, over time, come to mean "party" or "festival" in the local Antillean Creole of French. PASSADA & CABOLOVE from Cape-Verde. It was from these dance styles that Manu fell in love with dancing and continued to learn and grow as a young dancer as much as possible. In 2004 Manu co-founded one of the first salsa schools in Dakar/Senegal. SALSA DAKAR was successful for many years with specialized teaching in Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Kizomba, & Funana. Once the school was established and set up on a full-time basis Manu was ready for the next challenge. It was in 2012 that Manu was offered a place at a long established Latin and ballroom school as a teacher and student so that he could continue to learn the American smooth and American rhythm dance styles. Whilst continuing his training Manu performed in numerous live performances and competed in many competitions throughout the US, Mexico and Hawaii. He has created, choreographed and performed award-winning routines : Dancing for Diabetes, Showcase by the Sea.. Manu also loves the Fitness World and for that he has created and developed the Salsa Cardio. An amazing way to combine dance & fitness, all to the sounds of intoxicating latin music. Salsa Cardio is a great & fun way to learn how to dance Salsa. Since then Manu has continuously strived to improve himself as a teacher and dancer . He is looking forward to growing with Dance With Me USA and share his passion with all dance lovers.

Eric Botello

Eric was born in the US and raised in Texas. Music is his soul and has led him to dance different types of styles since he was 9 years old. Eric was inspired to dance by his sisters. His favorite dance to teach is the Cha-cha because it’s fun, and his favorite music to dance to is Salsa because it’s fun and easy!

Eric enjoys R&B, hip-hop, and pop music. His favorite movie is the Harry Potter series. If he could be any animal, he would be an elephant because they can be seen as dangerous once you get them mad.

Eric was on the NMSU DanceSport team while studying ballroom dancing at New Mexico State University. Eric has danced for several dance companies in Texas. He shares his love of dance through teaching, performing, and competing. His hope in life is to help change people’s lives!

Misha is very excited to share his dance knowledge with you! He was trained by various world renowned Latin coaches from the likes of Corky and Shirley Ballas and many more. He's been competing professionally for over 15 years in both Latin and Smooth styles. He is extremely excited to meet y'all and take part in your dance journey!
