We had such an awesome experience at Dance with Me Summerlin getting ready for our wedding dance! Our instructor, Micah, was amazing—he brought this calming, fun vibe that was exactly what we needed in the month leading up to our big day. He totally brought our dance to life in ways we never expected, and we even managed to surprise our guests with moves they didn’t see coming (which is pretty wild since we are not dancers!).

The whole staff was always so kind and supportive. Every time we came in, they had the best encouragement that made us feel right at home. And even the other dancers sharing the studio space were so friendly and welcoming, cheering us on like we’d been part of the community forever.

What could have been a stressful experience turned out to be one of our favorite parts of wedding prep, and we’re so grateful to everyone at Dance with Me Summerlin for making it so special. Highly recommend them for anyone looking to learn to dance and have a great time!

Absolutely AMAZING! Me and my friend, Jaden had gone to take a dance class on the Wednesday before our prom, and it was so awesome. We had never taken a dance class before, so we weren’t sure how it would be taking a salsa class for the first time, but it was such a great experience. All of the staff and dance instructors were more than nice and helpful. The other students taking the class were also nothing but nice, and every part of the dance class was fun. We meet a ton of really cool people while dancing. We loved it so much, we took another dance class after that. Even the next day, we brought three of our friends to go to a cumbia class. It was such an enlightening experience for both of us on that first night, and we really found a passion to dance. Overall, it was so fun, especially with someone you know, and I would recommend it to anyone! You will have so much fun, guaranteed!

Micah started dancing in Dayton, Ohio at age 12 in jazz and swing. He was first introduced to ballroom dancing in college where he received a Bachelors Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University - so you can imagine what a foodie he is. He was part of their Ballroom Dance Team for 4 years and competed Am/Am. Micah has now competed Pro/Am at numerous competitions in both Smooth and Rhythm where his students have consistently placed in the final. He has competed professionally in the Show Dance Division, performed in many fundraisers for nationally recognized organizations, he has his DVIDA certifications, and received training from Ballroom and Latin world champions. Micah is excited to pursue his dance career at Dance With Me Summerlin!

Most couples need 5 to 10 private lessons for a first dance they feel genuinely good about — 5 to 7 for clean timing and a confident entrance and exit, 10 or more for custom choreography built to your song with a real finale. But we know Vegas isn't a six-month-planning kind of wedding. Most of the couples who get married here are flying in, and we build around that. One couple came to us a month out, described themselves as "not dancers," and surprised their guests with a routine nobody saw coming. If you have two lessons, or one, tell us — we'll build something that fits the time you actually have rather than the time a textbook would want. Tell us your song, your venue, the size of the floor and what you're wearing; a long train, a tight bustle or a small chapel floor each change what works. We handle the music editing and timing. We also choreograph vow renewals, parent dances and wedding party numbers.

We keep some short-notice availability for visiting couples and groups, and a single well-used private lesson can genuinely change how a first dance feels. We're in Summerlin, about 20 minutes from the Strip, with free parking at the door — which for most visitors is an easier trip than it sounds.

Yes, and it's one of our favourite things to host. Bachelorette and bachelor parties, birthdays, anniversaries, company events and team-building — most groups arrive having never taken a dance class, which is usually the point. A typical session runs around whatever you want: a salsa or bachata crash course, a short routine everyone learns together, or just a genuinely fun hour on the floor. Being in Tivoli Village helps — there are restaurants and bars a short walk from the studio door, so it slots neatly into an evening. Call 702.710.1100 with your date, group size and occasion.

New students start with our $49 intro special, which includes a private lesson + a group class/ or an invitation to our next social party. We'll walk you through the options in person at your intro, and you won't be asked to commit to anything that day. After that, group classes are $30 and private lessons have a range between $132-$170 (Depending on Program)

Parking is free and plentiful, which is the part most people care about on a weeknight There's a real advantage to that: you can park once and make an evening of it, with restaurants, shops and a cinema a short walk away. We're an easy drive from Summerlin, Peccole Ranch, Queensridge, Canyon Gate, The Lakes, Spring Valley, Sun City and Centennial Hills, and about 20 minutes from the Strip. No — most people who walk in come on their own. In private lessons your instructor is your partner. In group classes we rotate partners through the hour, so you dance with several people and never sit out. If you come as a couple, you're welcome to rotate or stay together.

With one of our Foundation Series classes — no partner, no experience, no audition. We run Foundation-level groups in Smooth (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango), Rhythm (Cha-Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing) and Salsa, and each one starts from the very first step: posture, timing, and how to move with another person. They're progressive, meaning each week builds on the last rather than repeating the same material — so you actually improve rather than just attending. Most of our students had never taken a formal dance class before their first visit. Call 702.710.1100 and tell us what you're after; we'll point you at the right starting point.

We run a real syllabus rather than a rotating grab-bag. Every style has a Foundation Series for beginners and a Bronze Series for intermediate dancers, and each class builds on the last — more complex patterns, refined styling, stronger partner connection. We also publish which dance each class covers, week by week, on our schedule — so you can see in advance that, for example, a month of Smooth Foundation is Foxtrot, or a month of Rhythm Bronze is Rumba. You know exactly what you're walking into and when. Alongside the series we run Latin Fusion (choreography-based, high energy), Nightclub Styles (rotating through Zouk, Country Two-Step, salsa, bachata and West Coast Swing), Line Dancing (no partner needed at all) and our Social Dance Parties. Check this month's schedule for the current lineup — and if a style you want isn't running in group format this month, private lessons cover it any time.

Wear something you can move and sweat in — slacks, leggings, a skirt with movement, or jeans with some give. For shoes the rule is smooth sole: leather-soled dress shoes, character shoes, or proper dance shoes. Avoid rubber-soled sneakers, because they grip the floor and stop your feet turning, which is how knees and ankles get strained. If you're wearing heels, block heels are safer than sharp stilettos. You don't need to buy dance shoes to start — most people begin in something already in their closet.

Most people feel comfortable leading or following a basic step within three to five lessons, and can hold their own at a wedding or a party after about six to eight weeks of consistent classes. Real technique, styling and musicality take months to years — that's the part people stay for, and some of our students have been dancing here since we opened. If you have a fixed date, tell us at your first visit and we'll build the plan backwards from it.

Working competitors. Micah Hammaker started dancing at twelve in Dayton, Ohio, spent four years on the Johnson & Wales University Ballroom Dance Team, and now competes Pro/Am in both Smooth and Rhythm — where his students have consistently placed in the final. He's competed professionally in the Show Dance Division, holds DVIDA certifications, and has trained under Ballroom and Latin world champions. Marco Garcia has taught since 2014 and competes nationally, both professionally and with his students, across show dance, social dancing and American 9 Dance. They're joined by Alyssa and the rest of the team, with Victoria at the front desk. Our instructors hold certifications from the National Dance Council of America, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, and DVIDA.

Yes. Both of our instructors compete and coach Pro-Am, in Smooth, Rhythm and Show Dance, and Micah's students have consistently reached finals at competition. Competition coaching runs primarily through private lessons, so it isn't affected by which group classes are running that month. Yes — and more than most Vegas studios. Alongside our Salsa Foundation and Bronze Series, we teach bachata, cumbia, merengue, and Brazilian Zouk, which is genuinely hard to find in this city. Our Nightclub Styles class rotates through them along with West Coast Swing and Country Two-Step. No partner needed for any of it, and our Social Dance Parties are where you actually put it to use.

They're open to all levels, and they're where the steps from class turn into an actual night out — salsa, swing, ballroom and more, with partners rotating all evening. They run twice a month and are themed: one recent party was our Neon Dance Party. Beginners are genuinely welcome; there's always someone happy to dance with a newcomer. This month's themes and dates are on the schedule and in our newsletters.

It's one of the most common reasons couples book with us. A private lesson is 45 minutes of learning something together that neither of you is already good at — better company than another dinner. And because we're inside Tivoli Village, you can park once for free and turn it into a full evening with the restaurants and shops around us. Plenty of Summerlin couples book a standing weekly or biweekly slot. No experience needed on either side, and you don't need to be equally good.
