Our friendly & knowledgeable dance instructors are certified by the National Dance Council of America, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, DVIDA, and Roll Call Wheelchair Dance.

About Our Dance Studio

Although Dance With Me Fort Lee hosted its grand opening celebration on December 4, 2013, this studio’s history goes back to August 1, 2005, the day the first ever Dance With Me studio opened its doors.

The mayor of Fort Lee,  Mark Sokolich, officially welcomed the Dance With Me family by cutting the ribbon in front of local media and government officials. In 2014 the Fort Lee Regional Chamber of Commerce gave Dance With Me Fort Lee the annual Merit award for “significant impact on the borough of Fort Lee, NJ.”

Dance With Me instructors are committed to developing an individualized experience where you are guided every step of the way, at your own pace. Experience the magic of ballroom dance and its unparalleled ability to enrich your life.

  • MONDAY 6:50 PM

    Beginner Social Dancing!
    Great for solo dancers & partners! This class will be an introduction to different dances to today’s most popular music. You will learn basic steps and partnering to help start your dancing in a friendly, community setting!
    2/03 – Merengue/Salsa
    2/10 – Merengue/Salsa
    2/17 – Bachata
    2/24 – Bachata
  • MONDAY 7:40 PM

    All Levels East Coast Swing
    East Coast Swing is a staple in your social dancing! Learn the patterns and how to apply those steps to all different kinds of music: Pop, Rock, Blues
  • THURSDAY 6:50 PM

    Intermediate Argentine Tango
    The Argentine Tango is a passionate dance with a strong focus on partnering & movement quality. The class will also focus on routine building. It will be a cumulative class where each week the instructor will review the choreography & continue to build on each week.
  • FRIDAY 5:10 PM

    Intermediate Salsa on 1
    A continuation of last months class- Salsa Experience Required- Improve your salsa patterns & partnering to prepare for your evening out! *Class will be cumulative* NO class on Feb 14th

Elena Russo

Elena Russo grew up in upstate NY, competing in commercial and concert dance style and training in latin-social dance styles. She went on to further her career at Montclair State University, earning her BFA in Dance Performance and graduating Summa Cum Laude with distinction of Outstanding Performer. Post graduation, Elena completely turned her focus to the ballroom world. At Dance With Me, Elena strives to make every student feel welcomed into the studio & has made it a goal to help all students, beginner or professionals, achieve their dancing goals.

Yavet Diaz

Yavet is originally from Miami FL and started dancing at the age of 10. He was always very drawn to music and dancing, and has always been a very expressive person. He’s trained in various styles such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, and salsa. At age 17 he took an apprenticeship with the Fred Astaire organization and was trained and certified in their syllabus of American Styles. Yavet has competed in Pro/Am divisions for Rhythm, and has led his students to win numerous championships. He enjoys choreography, and exploring the science of movement. “My favorite thing about dancing is that there’s always more to learn.” He would describe his dancing style as versatile, and there’s no doubt that his dynamic and contagious spirit helps craft a fun and productive learning environment.
